Riding at Last!

After a long winter and plenty of delays from the weather, the trails finally have opened up and we’ve been out riding. By the time this blog comes out, all of our local trails are open for riding, and have been running well! Miners had their big grand opening, complete with a full ceremony and ribbon cutting to mark their first season being completely open, with their full 10+ miles of trails open right in the heart of Ironwood. Copper peak opened up last weekend, and while there are a few wet spots, mainly down on the lower section by the river, the trails are nice and dry, and are running fast. Wolverine has been open for a while, and maintains their hand build tech trails built around their XC ski trails. And last but not least Winman opened up last Friday, with most of their trail network open for the year, and plenty of plans for expansion and renovation to their trails over the course of the summer.

Tuesday night rides!

Of course, with the trails opening up, there are plenty of chances to group up, ride with some old or new friends, and go enjoy riding as a group. The main one is the Tuesday night rides, hosted by Sisu Dirt Crew. They go through a cycling (no pun intended) weekly calendar, going to all of the local riding spots for some exciting riding! They always start at 6 PM, and you can find their calendar on the Sisu Dirt Crew website, or linked below. They also have occasional Saturday field trips, where they go to further away trails and support other trails networks. Those are also found on their calendar.

Need a new bike?

Do you need a new bike? Well, if you do, your in luck, because it’s never been a better time to upgrade, or even just start out biking! Most of our bikes are on sale, and some bikes are even up to 25% off! Some special deals I’d like to point out are our stock of Rocky Mountain Instincts and Elements. These cover XC and trail riding, and have build levels to fit any budget, from the beginner who just is getting into full suspension bikes, to the experienced rider, who wants the newest and greatest carbon bike. Along with that, we have a special deal on our stock of Specialized Stumpjumpers. The longest running bike model is still just as good as ever, and we’ve got any size to get anybody on this legendary bike.

Last week had an unplanned break from trailhead talks, but they will return with riding next week. In the meantime, enjoy the blog, and get out and ride the trails now that they’re open!

Happy adventuring,

Peter
